Pest Control for Offices, Retail and Commercial Buildings
Offices and shops rarely have serious infestations, but they do have break rooms, stock rooms, loading doors and a lot of people who notice a mouse. Robbins Pest Services provides scheduled pest control for offices, retail stores, warehouses and mixed-use commercial buildings in Greater Portland, with a written report after every visit.
What we find in commercial buildings
- Mice, entering at loading doors, utility lines and gaps in older storefront foundations
- Ants in break rooms and kitchens from spring through fall
- Pantry pests in stock rooms that hold food, pet food or birdseed
- Flies around dumpsters, drains and recycling areas
- Spiders, cluster flies and other overwintering insects in fall
What a program includes
- A first inspection of the whole space, including basements, mechanical rooms, receiving and the exterior
- Monitoring devices in the areas where activity starts, mapped and checked each visit
- Exclusion recommendations for doors, dock seals and utility penetrations
- Targeted treatment where it is needed, not blanket spraying
- A written report after each visit for the tenant, the facility manager or the landlord
- Quarterly or monthly service, depending on the building and what is stored there
For landlords and facility managers
In a multi-tenant building, one tenant's storage habits become everyone's problem. We can service common areas and individual suites under one program and report to the building manager, so that responsibility is clear and the record is in one place.
Your logbook
Every commercial customer gets an on-site logbook with visit reports, the device map, a sighting log for staff, and product labels and safety data sheets.
Licensed and documented
Robbins Pest Services holds a Maine Commercial Master Applicator license (CMA-6319). Every commercial customer receives a logbook that is kept on site and updated at each visit, so the record is ready whenever an inspector, auditor or owner asks for it. Assessments are free, and you receive a firm quote before any work starts.
Frequently asked questions
How often does an office or shop need service?
Most offices do well with quarterly service. Buildings that store or sell food, or that have a history of rodent activity, are usually serviced monthly.
We only see a mouse occasionally. Is a program worth it?
An occasional sighting usually means there is a regular way in. An inspection will find it, and sealing it is often all that is needed, followed by monitoring.
Can you service a whole multi-tenant building?
Yes. Common areas and suites can be covered under one program with reporting to the building manager.
Will staff or customers be exposed to treatments?
The program relies on inspection, monitoring and sealing first. Where a treatment is needed it is targeted and discussed with your manager beforehand.
How is an office or retail program priced?
By the size of the space, what is stored there and the visit frequency. The assessment is free and you get a firm quote before any work starts.
